At New England Medical Group, we strive to destigmatize the treatment process of mental health and addiction by treating these disorders for what they are: medical conditions.
We utilize a wide variety of best practices to ensure every client receives individualized treatment starting from their first call for help. Our program includes three distinct tracks that are independently licensed and credentialed, creating a treatment plan based on the patient’s identification, symptoms, and diagnosis.

Mental Health
We've designed our mental health primary treatment program to treat individuals with suicidal ideation, bipolar disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other symptoms that are affecting their quality of life. Utilizing the clinical philosophy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Skills, the NEMG clinical team creates an individualized plan for every client.
Dual diagnosis treatment is necessary when multiple diagnoses cause a patient's symptoms. This often means that mental health symptoms are the primary diagnosis while the individual also struggles with other comorbidities. While the treatment focus is the same as the mental health primary track, dual diagnosis treatment also introduces relapse prevention techniques, 12-step integration, and other treatment modalities found in substance use disorder treatment programs.
We offer a full continuum of outpatient substance use disorder treatment options for those suffering from the side effects of alcohol, illicit, and controlled substance use. We realize that every individual's pathway to recovery is different and rely on our multidisciplinary team approach for medical and clinical interventions to treat addiction. Aligned with our mission of destigmatizing addiction, we think outside the box to provide individuals access to different structures for ongoing recovery including integrative and innovative individualized treatment programming.
Our programs begin with an initial evaluation to review symptoms, diagnosis, medications, and other behavioral factors that require a treatment consultation. Clients then experience the following steps:
Psychiatric Evaluation: Every patient begins treatment with a full 1-hour comprehensive psychiatric evaluation provided by one of our board-certified psychiatrists or psychiatric nurse practitioners.
Pharmacology: For symptoms that holistic solutions can't remedy, we introduce medications through weekly evaluations based on the acuity of the medication and the short-term and long-term side effects.
Individual Psychotherapy: Every patient receives an initial 1.5-hour bio-psycho-social evaluation followed by a minimum of one 1-hour session weekly with their primary therapist to dive into their individual progress and goals, and to work in a closed setting on different traumas and conditions that they don’t feel comfortable sharing in group settings.
Clinical Case Management: We conduct a minimum of one half-hour case management session weekly. In these sessions, we manage and facilitate client treatment plans and review recommendations. Our clinical case management team also works closely with EAPs, unions, and employers to ensure our clients' jobs are protected while they receive care.
Case Management and Discharge Planning: We prescreen clients to match them with the appropriate alumni, peer support groups, and transportation they may need before, during, and after treatment. The goal of this program is to remove barriers for our clients to access treatment. Case management can also help clients with housing, dietary concerns, and more
Family Services: From consultation to education, we believe no treatment plan is complete without involving healing to reach all loved ones involved or effected by mental health and substance use disorder symptoms.
