ABOUT THIS LOCATION

Integrated Mental Health Care in Milford, MA

New England Medical Group's Milford adolescent program at Suite 102 brings specialized mental health treatment to teens ages 12 to 18 in the MetroWest region. Accessible from Milford, Mendon, Hopedale, Franklin, Medway, and surrounding communities, our program is designed to provide intensive behavioral healthcare without pulling teens fully out of their home environment.

Our adolescent clinical team understands that teenagers don't just experience mental health symptoms. They experience them in the context of school pressure, social development, family dynamics, and identity formation. Every aspect of our program is adolescent-specific: the therapeutic approach, group composition, family involvement model, and school coordination services.

At this location, Suite 102 serves adolescent mental health and dual diagnosis. Adult mental health programs are available in Suite 201 in the same building, allowing families to access care for multiple members at a single location.

Note: At the PHP level of care, attending school while in treatment is typically not possible due to symptom severity. Our clinical case management team coordinates directly with local schools to navigate the academic hurdles this presents.

Half Day IOP: Adolescent IOP

Sessions run 9:00am to 12:00pm or 1:00pm to 4:00pm, 3 to 5 days per week. Designed for teens who can maintain school attendance while receiving intensive clinical support.

  • Psychiatric monitoring
  • Family programming included
  • Step-down from PHP or standalone entry point

Adolescent Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management

Every teen begins with a comprehensive 45 to 60 minute evaluation reviewing symptom history, prior diagnoses, and medication history. Adolescent-specialized providers build individualized treatment plans.

  • Full adolescent psychiatric evaluation
  • Anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and more
  • Medication prescribing when clinically indicated
  • Ongoing monitoring and family communication
  • Available standalone or integrated into program

OUR TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

Built Around How Teens Actually Heal

NEMG's adolescent programming is grounded in a specific clinical belief: trauma and adverse experiences are whole-body experiences, best resolved through experiential, embodied therapy. For adolescents, it can be difficult to express their wants, needs, and emotions directly, but when given the opportunity to externalize those feelings through symbolic or experiential activities, they can process and resolve the underlying issues that impact their lives.
Core Modalities

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): adapted for adolescent development
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Experiential and narrative therapies: creative, embodied approaches for teens
  • Trauma-informed practices throughout all programming
  • Whole-family involvement: sessions for parents and caregivers
  • School coordination: case management teams work directly with local schools
